Canoe Rides on Amish Buggy Near Holmes County Ohio

A note about this photo: With some exceptions, the Amish of Holmes County Ohio believe it is vain to have their pictures made. The Amish canoe photo—taken along Highway US 30 East of Wooster Ohio—was an exception. Just as the young man turned away to accommodate snapping the picture, the young girl in the back leaned forward in curiosity: no vanity meant, none taken.
